Sonodyne SRP 400 Active Studio Monitors

Sonodyne SRP 400 Active Studio Monitors

The Sonodyne SRP 400 powered studio monitor gives you the real-world reference you need to understand how your mixes translate to smaller speakers. Designed and built to Sonodyne's impeccably high standards, the bi-amplified SRP 400 enclosure is made of pressure die-cast aluminum for maximum rigidity (and cool visuals). A silk-dome tweeter nests in a custom waveguide to deliver impressive on- and off-axis linearity and a broad, detailed soundstage, while Sonodyne's 4.5" CURV cone woofer serves up remarkable low end and transient response for its diminutive size. Time for a sonic reality check - with Sonodyne SRP 400 monitors.

True reference monitors for your studio let you really hear what you're doing
Sonodyne SRP 400 studio monitors are serious professional tools. You rely on your monitors to tell you the truth about what you're recording, and the SRP 400 does just that. Nothing more, nothing less. They make a superb small-speaker reference. The SRP 400's matched power amplifiers, superb drivers, and effective cabinet design ensure that you get an accurate picture of what you're about to record (and what you've already recorded). And that results in better-sounding recordings that translate to the world beyond your studio.

Onboard controls let you optimize this speaker for your studio environment
That's why Sonodyne SRP 400 studio monitors incorporate room-compensating HF and LF tilts on its rear panel. If your control room has issues (and whose doesn't), engaging one or both of these controls will let you compensate for a finicky acoustical environment as well as spacial loading (corner placement, against a wall, in free space, etc.). What's more, the SRP 400 sports a convenient front-panel volume control with unity-gain detent.

Professionally designed and built enclosure provides professional sound
The SRP 400 enclosure is made of pressure die-cast aluminum for maximum rigidity. The rigid baffle ensures that the 4.5" CURV cone woofer and the 1" silk-dome tweeter are securely mounted and vibration is minimized. Gently curving baffle edges keep diffraction to a minimum. This (along with an integral tweeter waveguide) gives you precise, dimensional imaging with exceptional on- and off-axis response.
